La Milpa Ecolodge and Research Center sits deep within the Rio Bravo Conservation and Management Area in northern Belize, just three miles from the impressive La Milpa Maya archaeological site. As part of Programme for Belize, the lodge offers an authentic, conservation-led experience where researchers, students, and nature lovers can stay and engage in ongoing fieldwork. The property features secluded thatch-roof cabanas with private baths as well as eco-friendly dormitories powered by solar energy and equipped with composting toilets; simple, functional spaces that keep guests close to nature.
