Types of Membership

Business Membership

Tourism stakeholders and corporate businesses have the ability to join to show their commitment and contribution in shaping the country’s tourism industry and ensure their opinions are heard as part of BTIA’s ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of sustainable, responsible and successful tourism business.

The appropriate membership category and fee will be determined by the number of full-time equivalent employees. Each member in this category is entitled to a Membership Certificate and one vote per membership.

Others benefits you’ll receive as a business member include, Member-to-Member discounted rates, access to important tourism industry information available to BTIA members only, receive Tourism Bulletins with important info and updates, free and/or discounted access to training opportunities, internship and employment opportunities, FEDECATUR affiliation and regional integration, representation of Members’ Interests in various local and international forums, ability to vote at the AGM, BTIA Website listing, and advocate on projects, policies and laws/legislations that impact the tourism industry.

Personal Membership

BTIA invites all individuals to become personal members of the Belize Tourism Industry Association. A membership is your commitment to the industry, your entrance to shaping and leading the tourism sector and your ticket to the best tourism related trainings in Belize.

Each member in this category is entitled to a Membership Certificate.

Application Process

  1. Businesses must submit a copy of their Certificate of Registration.
  2. Hotels, Guest Houses, Resorts, Villas, Condos, Bed& Breakfast must submit a copy of their Belize Tourism Board’s Hotel License.
  3. Tour Guides and Tour operators must submit a copy of their Belize Tourism Board’s License.
  4. Fill out the online application and submit.
