Stewart Krohn

Mr. Stewart Krohn served as President of the Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) from 2020 to 2025, guiding the Association through one of the most challenging periods in its history. Taking office at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, he steered BTIA through severe financial strain by scaling back operations, mobilizing the executive board as volunteer labor, and sustaining the organization through the commitment of members, key sponsorships, and institutional support. Under his leadership, BTIA successfully advocated for industry financing, practical government policies, and increased airlift that helped drive the sector’s recovery. With the rebound of tourism, he oversaw the rehiring of staff, relaunch of training programs, growth in membership, and a renewed focus on resilience and environmental stewardship.
