The Belize Tourism Industry Association in an effort to maximize the presence of member hoteliers and tourism service providers, have engaged in a series of initiatives to enhance its membership awareness in the global marketplace. By participating and creating materials for the international markets at international tradeshows, the BTIA once again secures partnerships with consumers, travel trade, airlines and press on increasing overnight arrivals and day to day services.

2007

DEMA Show 2007 is the only international trade-only event for the diving, action water sports and adventure travel industries. More than 11,000 professionals will gather in Orlando, Florida, October 31 - November 3 to combine business, pleasure, education and diving and discover the treasure of DEMA Show 2007. Caribbean Marketplace is recognized as the most important tourism marketing event of the year for the Caribbean region. Held every year in January, Caribbean Marketplace sets the tone for travel packaging in the Caribbean. The format of the event is two days of pre-scheduled business appointments.

Buyers and Suppliers meet face-to-face to discuss existing contracts, develop packages, and contract for future business. Buyers are wholesalers, incentive buyers, meeting planners, group buyers and dive shop owners - from the USA, Canada, Caribbean, Latin America, Asia/Pacific, Africa, and Europe. Buyers can choose appointments with a range of suppliers from 36 different national hotel associations representing our intimate inns, guesthouses and villas, business, meeting and incentive, time-share, all-inclusive and chain hotels from the entire Caribbean region.

Reach 30,000+ active travelers and trade professionals at The Ultimate Travel Experience – The New York Times Travel Show. Now in its 5th year, The New York Times Travel Show is the largest consumer and travel trade show produced in the United States. Over 30,000 attendees (8,000 trade professionals) visited the Expo Floor in 2007, which held over 500 tourism boards, destinations, operators, outfitters, and spas from around the globe.
