Access To and a Voice in Government Policy
The interests of the association’s members are vigorously protected and promoted to Government agencies and public corporations. BTIA members receive regular up- dates on relevant legislative matters and proposed regulations affecting the tourism industry.

Marketing and Public Relations
The BTIA produces three regular publications as well as reports, surveys and other proactive and reactive media projects. The bi-monthly bulletin, Newsflash, the quarterly newsletter, Tourism Voice, and the official visitor’s guide Destination Belize, allow members to keep abreast of current tourism issues while participating in a forum to let their own voices is heard. BTIA also maintains an active liaison with local television, radio and print media houses.

Information Dissemination
With a membership providing a wealth of experience, information and ideas to draw upon, the BTIA has a key function in collecting and then disseminating timely, practical information. Our internal communications system keeps members on the cutting edge of industry trends and forecasts.

Belize Tourism Expo (BETEX)
The Belize Tourism Expo (BETEX) is BTIA’s signature tradeshow allowing for premier travel agents and wholesalers from around the world to visit Belize for a two day marketplace followed by three days of touring our destinations. BETEX represents five days of superb networking opportunities. BTIA also represents members at international tradeshows and conferences.
