This website gives visitors the opportunity to access the link that will lead them to Belize’s most unique destinations and pristine attractions while allowing viewers to become engage in the current activities of the BTIA and what it is there to serve.
Being the country’s tourism leader, voicing the concerns of industry stakeholders, members and other individuals, the BTIA has taken the initiative to fortify the industry through continued effort in merging industry providers with customers all over the world.
Through this effort of promoting Belize and making the industry profitable and dynamic, The BTIA’s mission is aimed at promoting sustainable tourism, while maintaining the natural and cultural integrity of Belize. The objectives of this website is to provide valuable information, newsflashes, letters and other documents for viewers to further educate themselves about the tourism industry.
In addition, this website offers all 640 members a free listing on its membership directory online and this listing includes information on accommodations, amenities, rates, images of each destination and their contact information. This way, visitors could view the important information that will allow them to book their stay in Belize.
Every visitor desires the best on their vacation; experiencing unique services, being treated as valued customers, and engaging in unforgettable activities they could always remember. Belize is that little heaven, created to serve visitors with the most unique adventures, cultures, rare flora and fauna, its tropical rainforest, caves, bubbling waterfalls, and the mystique underwater treasures.

Therefore, it will allow investors to establish future business relationship with tourism stakeholders and working together to increase the steady growth of tourism in Belize.

Major Duties of the Board
- Oversee development and approval of a long-term corporate plan and approve annual budgets and operating plans;
- Define and/or safeguard the organizational mission, the values framework and operating principles within which it expects the Association to be administered, and to review these periodically;
- Govern the Association through board policies and planning objectives approved by the Board, formulated with the Executive Director and staff, and reviewed periodically;
- Select and support an Executive Director to whom the responsibility for administration of the Association is delegated;
- Review and evaluate regularly the performance of the Executive Director on the basis of a specific job description and approved objectives;
- Seek and secure sufficient resources for the Association to finance its programs adequate;
- Account to the public and funders, for the services of the Association and expenditures of funds;
- Ensure prudent and proper management of the Association's resources;
- Establish the general values framework in which the Association's human resources will be managed and periodically monitor key human resource performance indicators;
- Approve and periodically review personnel policies within which human resources will be managed;
- Establish guidelines within which management may negotiate pay and benefits agreements with staff;
- Regularly review the Association's services to ensure that they are consistent with the purpose of the Association and that its programs are effective and relevant to community needs;
- Provide continuity for the Association and opportunities for citizen participation;
- Represent the Association and its programs through interpretation to the community;
- Serve as an advocate for services of good quality;
- Hear complaints from consumers about services through a formal complaints procedure.
